Repost: If The Good News is Truly Universal, Then Why Evangelize?

I think Chad does a really good job of explaining why:
- The Universal Good News
- God’s Judgment and Our Judgment
- All
- Why Evangelize?
- And a tid-bit from his kids: Christmas for Jesus
I would add that when people finally believe the truth that they are loved and forgiven, this belief changes their world because they are no longer enemies of God in their mind. Their entire life changes and in turn it effects everything around them. They view all the other people around them as loved and forgiven by God. They want people to experience the same freedom from the lies that God is against them (if I was Satan, this is the biggest lie I would want people to buy into) and that God indeed loves them and has forgiven them independently of anything they have or can do. To me, this is why we evangelize, not to get butts out of hell and into heaven, but to have people experience the freedom and joy that comes when they realize the truth they are loved and forgiven.
To those who believe, it makes all the difference in the world. To those who believe, they experience salvation and freedom. To those who believe, the Kingdom of God can be experienced today.
To those who don’t believe, they will; every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord and the love of the Father will be a restoring judgment. Might some still reject God? Possibly, but somehow I can’t imagine that. Even so, that is up to God, not me or us…
