A Mother’s Hell

If a mom is in heaven and her child is in hell, where is the first place she will go?

How does this fit within our theology? How does this fit within our image of God?

    Matthew 12:48-50
But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Apparently Jeff does not have children. As a mother, I totally understand, and agree.

I’d have to disagree with you Juli. I don’t know who Jeff is, but I give credit to Jeff to offering the eternal perspective from Matthew 12, rather than our earthly perspective. We are not able to fully understand God from our humanistic perspective, but instead we place our faith in the truth we find in the scriptures.

Perhaps both perspectives have value for our faith?
