Catastrophe Avoided

I am 33 years old and I suffered my first near heart attack. I went to update my blog to WordPress 2.7 and my blog went bye-bye — EVERYTHING!! Now I could care less about my posts….it was the loss of your brilliant, life-changing, and smart-#$@ comments that got my gut. If you were one of the lucky ones to visit anytime today you probably saw many variations from Error messages to “Just another WordPress Blog”. Well after many hours of research, sweat, and foul language, A Mending Shift is back (though a bit different looking). It might go through some kinks and tweaks over the next week, but at least all your comments are saved!

    I'm so sorry you went through that. It is heart attack inducing! My upgrade went off without a hitch, but I did back up my database beforehand just in case.

    I like the new design. The sidebars seem to load better too. :)

    Yea, I had a database backup too…that was my only saving grace.

    I had a backup, it was just figuring out how to connect the new upgrade to the old database…but yes, I am dang glad for auto backups!!!
